East End Food Institute will lease a new location for the Winter Farmers Market in Riverhead, which will relaunch on Saturday, November 27, 2021 and run each Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm through April 30, 2022. Stay tuned for location details and vendor applications. Email questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The East End Food Virtual Market leverages our existing facility and operations infrastructure, plus investment in a new e-commerce software. In addition to streamlining ordering and delivery of local goods to retailers and institutions, East End Food Institute is developing a program to make local food more affordable to food pantries. Please support our efforts by shopping the public catalog.
For the first time, the market will accept SNAP benefits (formerly known as food stamps) and will also partner with Field & Fork Network, a Buffalo-based nonprofit that has expanded the Double Up Food Bucks program across New York. This nutrition incentive program will match SNAP purchases up to $20, meaning participants will have up to $40 to spend on New York grown fresh fruits, vegetables, fruit-bearing plants, and herbs. aDouble Up Food Bucks is free for SNAP customers and the dollars you earn never expire. Sign up in-person at the Riverhead Farmers Market using your EBT card and enjoy the bounty of our East End farms.
Any Long Island-based food or beverage producer may apply to be a vendor. Craft vendors will be accepted on a limited basis. This application is for BOTH the Winter Market in Riverhead AND the Virtual Market. Please select your preference.
