As a crop, kelp can provide a reliable additional income for farmers who have existing aquaculture farms; no fresh water, fertilizer, or arable land is needed for growth. Kelp is a remarkable water filter; it promotes biodiversity by attracting marine life where it grows; it can protect shorelines, and it is a powerful force in lowering carbon dioxide in our atmosphere and nitrogen in our water. It can also be used as soil amendment and as a natural alternative to synthetic fertilizer. As a food, kelp is a rich source of omega-3s, fiber, and other nutrients. The benefits of growing and eating kelp have innumerable benefits to our planet, health, and local economy and ecosystem. For more information, contact Wendy Moore at kelp@mooregood.org.

Moji means “mama” in Kashmiri, and that is the premise behind Moji Masala — to make it easy for anyone to cook homemade Indian food as if they were taught by their own moji. Moji Masala spice blends are freshly ground and blended using responsibly sourced, premium ingredients. They are pre-measured, hand packed and sold in single-use premium packaging. Each masala packet comes with simple recipes and a QR code linking to recipe videos and shopping lists so home cooks can prepare traditional Indian dishes with minimal prep work. Aki's Kitchen

Aki grew up in Antwerp, Belgium and has recently relocated from Connecticut to the Hamptons. She has always been passionate about food, but especially creating quality soups as a staple of her meals. She’s a strong believer in healthy and properly sourced produce. All of her cooking has been locally sourced; organic whenever possible.

Therefore, for her there was no better choice then to move to Eastern Long Island because of all the local farming. Her mother always said “love goes through the stomach” which is true but Aki always felt that “if you eat well, you live well”
