Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training
Miranda Capriotti | Outreach & Education Managermiranda@eastendfood.org

The Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training (CRAFT) is a cooperative effort of local farms organized to enhance educational opportunities for farmers and apprentices of all skill levels and experience. Participating farmers offer up their time, talents and experience to help prepare and educate the next generation of farmers.

The secret to CRAFT’s success is simple: farmers learn most effectively from other farmers. CRAFT provides farmer-to-farmer learning and access to the social network and culture of local farmers. East End Food collaborates with local farms to organize a series of weekly tours and workshops for members that run from April through October each year. Tours include a wide variety of farming models unique to the East End, such as mixed vegetable production, vineyards, orchards, fish and shellfish hatcheries, livestock and more.
